The DGAO Congress is an international Event. Will the presentations be held in German or English??

The presentations will be partly in German and partly in English. The entire event will be simultaneously interpreted into German and English by two interpreters. The pre-congress will be held exclusively in German.

 

Can I attend only the pre-congress?

Of course, you can also book only the pre-congress day at the Dorint Hotel; this booking is possible independently of participation in the main congress. You are also welcome to attend the evening event (as long as tickets are available). For the main congress, you must purchase a ticket for both congress days; single-day bookings are not possible.

How can I participate in the pre-congress?

The pre-congress will take place on Thursday, 12 November 2026 at the Dorint Hotel in Cologne. Please book your ticket for the pre-congress separately.
All guests who arrive on Thursday and/or attend the pre-conference are cordially invited to a get-together at Harry's New York Bar (Dorint Hotel) at 6 p.m.

Can I cancel my ticket?

Cancellation is no longer possible after receipt of the registration confirmation. The registration of a replacement participant is possible until the start of the event for a processing fee of €50 – please inform us of this promptly and by email at kongress@dgao.com. If you have a ticket for the DGAO Night, it will be returned to sale and refunded if we are able to sell your ticket elsewhere.

Can I cancel at short notice in case of illness?

If you are unable to attend at short notice, you also have the option of transferring your ticket to another person (processing fee €50). Please inform us as soon as possible, as the tickets are personalised.

When does check-in begin?

Check-in is possible on both days between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. You can also check in on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. onwards.

Where do the evening events take place?

Get-together on 12 November 2026 (from 6 p.m.): Harry's New York Bar at the Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt Cologne, Pipinstraße 1 · 50667 Cologne

DGAO Night on 13 November 2026 (from 7.30 p.m.): Flora Cologne, Am Botanischen Garten 1a, 50735 Cologne
(a shuttle bus will run from the Dorint Hotel to Flora at 7 p.m.).

Can I still register for DGAO Night at short notice?

When is the congress office open?

The congress office is open on Friday and Saturday from 8.30 a.m. and during congress hours.
