Dear Colleague,

it is my pleasure to cordially invite you today to the 9th Scientific Congress on Aligner Orthodontics, which will take place on November 13 and 14, 2026
at the Gürzenich in Cologne. Under the motto  “Aligners in All Dimensions” this year’s congress is dedicated not only to the state of the art in aligner orthodontics, but above all to the developments that will shape our field in the coming years. Intelligent treatment concepts, new biomechanical approaches, and the increasing integration of AI as well as modern planning systems are transforming our field in a lasting way—while simultaneously opening up entirely new therapeutic possibilities.

Our congress chair, Dr. Julia Haubrich, has worked with the entire DGAO Executive Board to put together a high-caliber scientific program and has invited renowned speakers from around the world to Cologne. Look forward to international expertise, lively discussions, and, above all, numerous insights that can be directly applied to tomorrow’s clinical practice. All presentations at the main congress will be provided with live simultaneous interpretation in German and English on-site.

This year, there is a special focus on the connection between scientific innovation and practical applicability: For the first time, the Pre-Congress — which will be conducted exclusively in German — on November 12th will also focus on the billing of modern treatment concepts. Throughout the morning, the focus will be on practical strategies and immediately applicable solutions for the economically successful implementation of innovative treatment concepts. The afternoon will take an interactive turn when Matthias Peper, together with colleagues from the DGAO Executive Board, uses concrete cases to demonstrate synergies between AI and human excellence in digital aligner planning.

The congress will once again be accompanied by an extensive industry exhibition. Leading companies in the field will showcase the latest technologies, materials, and digital solutions that bring the future of aligner orthodontics to life today.

The congress weekend will be rounded off by a get-together following the pre-congress event at Harry’s New York Bar (Dorint Hotel) and the traditional
DGAO Night on November 13th at Flora Cologne—ideal opportunities for personal interaction, networking, and inspiring conversations.

You can find the detailed program for the pre-congress and main congress, as well as the registration form, via this link.

We are convinced that this congress will be much more than just a professional gathering of international aligner practitioners. It will provide an opportunity to reflect on treatment methods, learn about innovative advances in technology and materials, and look ahead together
to the next developments, challenges, and opportunities in our field.

We, the entire DGAO Board, are very much looking forward to meeting you in Cologne in November and to
looking toward the future of aligner orthodontics together with you.

Yours

Prof Dr. Dr. Dr. Ralf J. Radlanski
DGAO President
